1996 Mirage

1996 mirage ski racer \ni bought this boat last year as a project. it had been damaged after striking a submerged object and left about a 6 to 8 foot gash down the center of the hull. to my knowledge, the boat never sank and was able to make it back and be put on a trailer. i was sold the complete boat, on the trailer, minus the motor and 1 gauge, witch was used on the og owners new boat. \ni own a fiberglass shop in so cal with about 43 years in business. so, naturally, the damage did not bother me. we were able to fully repair the fiberglass damage using polyester resin and boat glass. i also color matched the hull and re sprayed it. i'm in the process of weighing the complete hull now (without motor) should come in around 700 to 800 pounds. \ni was able to find a 1996 mercury 2.5 xri (ff block) outboard with a 20\" shaft. (was told all cylinders hold 118lbs or more) on a compression test. i have never personally ran the motor, but have no reason to believe its bad or needs a rebuild. it came off a 20' cheetah open bow ski boat from arizona. \nthe boat comes on a great tandem axle trailer with near new tires. \ni have pretty much everything to finish the boat, except maybe new carpet for the floor. \ni have ran out of time and space for this project and wanted to pass it along to someone who will enjoy it. these are super fast and fun boats. i already have another family boat, so this was just going to be a fun toy for me. the boat is located in san marcos ca. 92069, and can be shown anytime. i have a clear title for the boat and trailer. \nif you have any questions, please call
