1988 silverton silverton 40 aft cabin 1988 silverton 40 aft cabin - one owner boat. the boat sat at the cape as a live on summer home for 10 years. the boat did not move during this time. the engines had less than 500 original hours. seller is 75 yrs old and decided to start using the boat again so the boat was brought to boston. on the way there the engines wouldn't go over 2,000 rpm. a mechanic looked at it and said both engines needed to be rebuilt because of the lack of use. both engines were then rebuilt (2017). boat ran great and seller even took it to the islands for a couple weeks. on the way back one of the alarms was going off and seller didnt hear it. the oil cooler went and all the oil blew out of the port motor. come to find out engines were rebuilt but not coolers. port engine needs to be replaced as a result. generator is also not working. the inside is very, very clean. the outside is also in great shape. seller just doesn't have the interest in boating anymore. boats in this condition with both motors working are over $28k.
