1977 tartan tartan 3700 sl price lowered!!! tartan 37 was designed by sparkman & stevens and was produced 1976 through 1988. the production run of 486 boats is a testimony to the superior design and workmanship, most are still sailing today.the boat is known for it's sound construction and smart sailing abilities. the 15,500lb displacement and 7500lb ballast yields a 48.3 bal/disp ratio with allows for smoother sailing in weather vs lighter production boats of similar size. the brightwork will catch your eye from afar. sojourner's center board design with a draft of 4'2"/6'7"allows it into anchorages that other boats will not dare and with board down climbs nicely to windward. the 130 watt solar panel makes plugging into shore power completely optional which is a nice feature while visiting remote anchorages. the tartan 37 is considered one of todays classic cruising yachts. sojourner has had many upgrades. all deck hardware was removed and re-bedded(2011) all holes were re-drilled oversize & filled with epoxy. decks are dry and solid.
