2006 Meridian 580 pilothouse

the flagship of the meridian fleet, the 580 pilothouse is one of the most popular and affordable yachts of her size. the 580 pilothouse contemporary styling features attractively flowing lines and the largest beam of any similar vessel in her class giving you more room aboard. with common-rail qsm-11’s, underwater exhaust, full beam master and a pilothouse with great visibility, this vessel is a perfect fit for extended cruising. a three stateroom, two head layout with plenty of storage and a huge standup engine room makes this one of the best values for dollar in the market today. this is the perfect boat for extended cruising in the bahamas or wherever your heart desires. notable features: "docking on command" integrated bow and stern thrusters for easy docking master cabin's vanity is separate from head (full sized tub) custom hinge on hard top allowing for 15 ft. bridge clearance (perfect for south florida or great loop!) yacht layout: the forward vip stateroom features a queen size island berth and two overhead hatches and plenty of storage including 2 illuminated cedar lined hanging lockers. next aft to port is the guest stateroom which has over/under berths. opposite to starboard is the guest head which includes a separately enclosed shower stall. the guest head can be accessed from the vip stateroom or hallway. moving aft to starboard is the stairway ascending to the pilothouse (at its foot is to port is a locker with a stacked washer and separate dryer.) just aft of this is the entrance to the full width master stateroom with an island queen berth, vanity with built in tv, entertainment center and ample cupboard and hanging locker storage. this is an ensuite master head with a large enclosed tub and shower.up the curving stairway is the pilothouse which features a central helm chair with a panoramic view and a l-shaped settee lounge with table just aft to port. to starboard is the pilothouse door which gives access to the foredeck and the wide side decks. moving aft in the pilothouse to starboard are steps descending to the galley/dinette and main salon...outboard of them are stairs ascending to the fly bridge.when descending aft, one enters the dedicated dinette area with the immense u shaped galley opposite. like most pilothouse yachts the galley and dinette are positioned forward in the salon. unlike competitive vessels, the galley appliances are full sized and were replaced in 2022. the 360 degree view in the salon, coupled with the opening glass doors to the cockpit, makes for an inviting light and airy feeling. headroom is a generous 6'10".moving aft out the salon doorway to the same level full width euro styled cockpit makes that area integral to the salon. the lazarette hatches in the cockpit sole give access to the generator with hush box and plenty of storage. molded stairs to the bridge hinge up to allow access to the engine room. with safety at sea in mind, the molded stairs from the cockpit to the engine room are from the protected cockpit area. transom doors, port and starboard, provide access to the ample swim platform. upstairs on the flybridge you will find two helm pedestal seats offering the phenomenal sightlines and views. behind the helm seats is an l-shaped lounge to port and a wet bar to starboard. a deck abaft the flybridge provides ample deck space for a tender, water toys or additional seating. on the flybridge the sound level at cruise is 76 decibels which is quiet enough for conversation without shouting. the meridian pilothouse 580 is equipped with meridian's docking on command option which synchronizes bow and stern thrusters with the main engines. with docking on command, you can actually move the boat sideways - making just about any docking situation a breeze!
