1986 Morris

boston whaler newport 17' 1986. suzuki 70 hp 4-stroke. located trappe md. engine is nominally a 2004 but was purchased new (still in crate) in winter 2007. the newport is by far imho the best layout for this hull (montauk). top speed 32 mph with 1/2 people. two six gallon external tanks. i don't know the mpg, but have been from st. michaels to annapolis and return with gas to spare. has always been run on non-ethanol. hull has bottom paint, but was never left in the water since i have owned it. \n \nventure trailer 2017, side lights, 2\" ball. \nnew tires 2023 \n \ni am a retired sailmaker/ canvas shop owner. custom cushions including bench seat on fwd side of console (came with bucket seats). console seat back flips fwd/back. closed cell foam in bow cushions, open cell in others. 3 bow 7/8\" stainless bimini top on track, slides fwd to stow. bimini cover (boot). \n \nfull cover, console cover, and console enclosure front and sides. \n \nrunning lights, including separate headlight. probably needs contacts cleaned, etc. \nwater skis with tow rope. \npermanently mounted transom boarding ladder. \n \nhandheld vhf, hummingbird 561 depth/fish finder \n small danforth anchor and rode, fenders, electric bilge pump, dock lines, life jackets in canvas case, trailer lock, paddle, crab net, searchlight, flare gun, fire extinguisher, etc. \n \nhull had/has some water in it. i have owned 3 whalers in my life and they all had water in the hull. my advice is just ignore it and enjoy the boat as i have for the past 17 years. always stored on trailer with full cover. \n \nonly very serious buyers get in-the-water demo. \n \n. call 9-5
