a remarkable, fully documented restoration of a classic hacker runabout by a master craftsman. new motor, shaft, prop and related running gear. on a quality, custom double-axle trailer. truly outstanding.this 26-foot split cockpit runabout was built in 1932 by chesapeake shipbuilding company in oxford, maryland to john hacker's "fleetfoot" design. typical of hacker's lines the boat has a sharp entry that breaks into a heavy flare forward, with low freeboard astern. construction is traditional plank-on-batten with all substructure in white oak. bottom and topside planks are 5/8" norway white cedar fastened every 6" with copper roves to 5/8"x 1-1/2" battens. the bottom also has silicon-bronze screws between each rove. bottom and topside seams were payed in 3m 5200 adhesive. the bottom is painted in pettit hard bronze; topsides are dark blue interlux poly with a white boot. decking is 1/2" philippine mahogany finished in varnish. all wood on bottom/topsides is original; approximately 5% of the deck wood was replaced. seats are in dark blue marine-grade leather by killeen. floor is in russet jute-backed linoleum. cockpit interiors are in varnish with dark blue accents. a large four-spoke steering wheel also houses a center throttle. instruments consist of a large tachometer surrounded by oil pressure, temperature, and fuel gauges. all wiring is marine-grade tinned copper. new cole-hersee switches and lamps with all circuitry fused and identified. there is a new ignition-protected blower in the engine and fuel compartments. the engine is a gm 350/255 with 4 hours of bench time. a 1:1 velvet drive is connected to a new a-22 stainless steel shaft. current propeller is for in-water engine break-in; a speed-prop is provided once break-in is completed. an engine-flushing tap is accessed under the aft cockpit floor. both engine oil and drive fluid are fresh water cooled through a new sendure heat exchanger. all new hoses, clamps and fittings, with copper tube exhausts. all deck hardware is period correct, with a few reproduction pieces from california classics. included is a new pearl cotton duck waterline cover. boat sits on a custom dual-axle trailer with new wiring, new tires, axles, and drum surge brakes. paperwork includes good maryland titles on boat and trailer, original building contracts, original department of commerce number assignment certificate, and full restoration records with photos. vehicle warranty most new vehicles come with a factory warranty and some used vehicles have a remaining factory warranty. please contact us for the warranty details specific to this vehicle. about jeepster jim welcome to jeepsterjim, we are a full service, complete restoration facility. we restore classic cars for clients and museums all over the world. all work is done in our 30,000 square foot facility that is located in northeast florida. we usually have 20-30 carefully selected classic cars for sale. we are not a consignment dealer, we own all of are cars. we are very careful what we buy and only select the best. please call me personally if you have any questions about the car we have for sale. phone we invite you to come out some time and tour the facility or call to learn more about what we do here at jeepster jim. welcome to jeepsterjim, we are a full service, complete restoration facility. we restore classic cars for clients and museums all over the world. all work is done in our 30,000 square foot facility that is located in northeast florida. we usually have 20-30 carefully selected classic cars for sale. we are not a consignment dealer, we own all of are cars. we are very careful what we buy and only select the best. please call me personally if you have any questions about the car we have for sale. phone we invite you to come out some time and tour the facility or call to learn more about what we do here at jeepster jim. contact us for more detailsphonephone terms and conditions payment options we accept the following payment methods: - cashier's check/money order- loan check from classifieds board financing center- cash (in person)- personal check (once cleared) vehicle pickup & shipping all shipping charges are buyer's responsibility. finance, warranty, shipping question?
