2017 eastern sisu 22 hardtop outboard legendary downeast hull the 22’ sisu is legendary among downeast hulls. sisu is a finnish word that means stamina, fortitude, and “guts”. this boat is aptly named. originally drawn by royal lowell in the 1970s, her basic sesign is arguably the most seaworthy ever for a small power boat. modern composite materials plus a couple of design tweaks have made her even better. recessed chines damp spray and add dynamic lift to her round chines as she accelerates, while smoothly cutting through waves. the cabin has good headroom and two portals and a hatch which are screened for fresh air w/o bugs. great access to the electrical system and plumbing and an electric ceramic toilet with its own 40 gallon fresh water tank and 40 gallon waste tank. cabin also has good sized v-berths and 3 storage areas plus access to the anchor locker. open sided hardtop pilothouse with custom canvas sides and back to enclose the pilothouse from cold and rain and sun. canvas rolls up or down and had windows and a zipper door. the cockpit has a full transom sized fish/lobster locker and seats for 6 with storage beneath them. all seats and v-berth have custom seat cushions – blue. 60 gallon fuel tank (this boat gets 7 - 10 miles to the gallon at 2200 rpm traveling between 6 to 8 knots. 24” draft with a ¾ length keel for stability and tracking powered by a 115 yamaha four stroke which performs well and gets the boat up to 26 knots quickly has bow rail, lights, anchor (over sized for quick and reliable performance, 130 foot of line, fenders (4), bilge pump electric, two batteries (deep cell), two hand pumps one is a diaphragm, 6 life jackets type 1, winter canvas custom, flare gun, search light , two windshield wipers, marine ship to shore radio, ray marine chart plotter, fuel gauge, tachometer, hydraulic steering, rope ladder, two man overboard life rings and 50 ft. of rope for pick-up 22’ long and 8’ 4” wide also a great attached bumper all the way around hull. boat and engine has 236 hours of pleasure logged. contact: martin corbo at 732-741-8102 or try 908-309-4861 this boat is on the river in rumson, new jersey call for an appointment to see her. thanks.
