1988 Carver

when she was introduced in 1982, the 3607 aft cabin was the biggest boat ever built by carver. immediately successful due to her smart styling and space-efficient layout, the 3607 was built on a so-called “dual mode” hull, meaning that she can run efficiently at her 7–8 knot displacement speed and still plane out when the throttles are fully applied. (note that this same hull was later used in the production of the popular carver 36 mariner.) the interior accommodations of the 3607 aft cabin are surprisingly roomy for a 36-footer. she has sleeping accommodations for six with a dinette that converts to a double berth, and features a raised lounge offering seating for five. a tub/shower is located in the aft head. outside, the aft deck is large enough for a few folding chairs, and the bridge is only three steps up with guest seating for four. the side decks are wide enough for easy bow access—a plus on any small cruiser. go away has been well cared for , including having the risers and mufflers done 2 years ago, but she wasn't used for a year so essentially they are only 1 year old. the impellers are also new. the water system has been replaced, along with 2 new bilge pumps, macerators and the electrical system completely gone through. the aft cabin has been redone. there is a 7kw kohler generator with only 20 hours. 4 new batteries. 40" flat screen tv along with a smaller one in the aft cabin. there are 2 air conditioning zones, and an auxiliary a/c installed to keep dockside electrical bills down. the owner says the auxiliary keeps the entire boat cool and hardly ever uses the zoned a/c units. the main cabin has big windows that keep the cabin bright and cheerful. the galley is a down configuration, with refrigerator, freezer, 3 burner stove and microwave. all tanks have been recently drained, cleaned and flushed.
